Bracket and Bracket first took form in the summer of 2009. Though the actual brand name and concept would be defined later; the idea started here with Kyzer Davis and Kyle West. The duo set out to review albums from little known artists and bands. The goal was to expose these artists online and help potential fans discover new music.

The idea was simple and solid. There was one problem though. They needed a way to facilitate the reviews to the world. It was a no-brainer. They needed a website. It was the best way to show information to anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time. Neither of them knew how the internet worked. Creating a music website that people would read, enjoy, and trust was a very daunting task.

The lack of knowledge and high expectations led the duo then split up. Kyle left to pursue other business ventures and Kyzer began work on other web projects. The idea was shelved for three years. It wasn’t until 2012 that the idea was dusted off and given new life by Kyzer Davis and Brandon Johnson as part of Dan and Rogers Media Group.

Over the past three years the duo had acquired the knowledge needed to create an amazing music website unique to the world. Bracket and Bracket officially went online April 21, 2012. As of today it has undergone three major revisions. Each revision has added new features and a breath of fresh air life into the site. It now has a unique personality and feel all to its own.

Bracket and Bracket operated for 3 years and produced many reviews, covered many events, and gained moderate attention in the space. Overall the idea was great and everybody involved had a hell of a time working on the website.
